Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (KJV) Aside from the last verse which we have amply dealt with already, starting in verse 15 the penalty for not worshipping the image, to use it as the sole mediator between the believer and the worldly government of the first beast is death (to be killed). That is - to be exterminated. The method of extermination is laid bare in the next verse,.. it is not a "mass bloody culling" but a device that is intrinsically evil; leading to spiritual "Death". To be present in the system means to either worship the image and follow the false prophets blueprint for the image system of 660+6 (that is the dissemination of doctrinal leaven.) To be "killed" is to be placed not in the laodicean conglomerate, but to be made to engage the system with the alternative - in the spiritual position of the four of the ten kings that comprise the six-fold mind of the image, as using the dialectic process in the hands of the facilitator. To be in the system outside of the image (as 660) is to be found in the final 6, and is a position where to remain in the image church is to be put to the pale horse or "Death". How is this putting to "Death" kept as the only alternative? Firstly, forbid all commerce to people without a token or diadem from the government. That is, unless a person registers with the government for religious freedom to buy and sell without the token. (that is,.. to disseminate doctrine.) Then every man either has the token, or has contractually agreed that the government has placed its authority as the "freedom-giver" over the individual. The mark the Lord places in the temple and right hand of His people is the defining moment when they become His people. In the OT it was the crossing over from Egypt into the wilderness of Sinai. In the new testament (NT) the mark of God is the authorship of all life in Him by our shared creator, our God. Freedom is given from God and not the government, though it would like to take His place as God. In so registering for religious freedom one takes the "mark of the beast". Once a person registers for religious freedom, it is merely permission (not freedom) granted subject to the laws of the day, and not in good conscience of well-doing before God Himself. In this sense the mark of the beast has two outcomes - either a physical token of the mark on the hand or forehead - the number or name of the beast: or the denial of God's work that God solely makes His children free. From the number of the beast as 666 in the form of "Death" with the "Hell" of the image following after, we know that a physical mark can only keep you in spiritual death outside of Christ if one accepts either outcome. It is better not to worship the image and be killed (as to be spiritually exterminated) rather than to take either poison pill. Since either choice is worshipping the image; to not worship the image is to be worthy of being exterminated. (read excluded) The solution is to leave the Church altogether. What is the meaning of the woman "riding the beast"? The accumulation of the first four seals to make the first beast from the sea has led to the scarlet beast being a rehashed mixture of false prophet or "hell" (thanks James), which is better seen in the four beasts of Daniel (See the page "Racing the restrainer" on this site). The first beast marches on into the future as it has done so in history: As it accumulated the dragon's tail from Britain, the USSR and Nazi Germany to form the USA, so it will continue to "evolve" as if it were accumulating still; devouring nations and breaking them in pieces, moving its four horsemen through the atlas and casting its residue behind it. All the while the scarlet beast is formed by the image to the first beast. This gives the image its synthetic life as she rides the beast for it's authority (freedom) to grant her her legal status and ability to operate as "Church". (Note the capitalisation there.) As the beast moves from kingdom to kingdom, the woman (image) rides as shifting the "Hell" that follows after "Death" (of the beast and it's image) as if it were as the "heart of a man" given the Lion beast, or the "three ribs" to "devour much flesh" in the mouth of the Bear beast etc; The result is the woman rides the beast into the future as far as it will go. The remnants of the tail of the scarlet beast are the broken commandments of God whilst the remnants of the first beast itself as it marches onwards have been the kingdoms leading up the USA. The dragons tail sufferered discontinuity at the cross with satan's ejection from heaven and his tail was clearly present in the statue dream of Nebuchadnezzar - now we see that the last Church is actually acting as if she were the bride of satan rather than that of God; as she is formed in the image of the dragon and is now doing the works of her spiritual father and "husband".
