Of Laodicea

Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Rev 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (KJV)

The last letter is the one that convicts me every time I read it; as the seventh we may assume it is the “rest” element that both precedes and follows after the angel’s finished circuit. This letter is overcome in parts within the previous six letters, (The letter applies in all the others.)

The proper place for the letter is therefore at the first or at the last. There would be greater reason for it to be placed at the end and the letter to Ephesus already begins the angel’s cycles adequately. (This letter is hard, and liable to be received poorly at the very first!)

Reading then as we should, that the letter applies before the overcoming in Ephesus, we may see that the angel is “open to Christ” (having not yet remembered “from whence he is fallen”.) yet does not take it seriously enough. He is lukewarm. The letter then as placed before Ephesus is Christ as “cold” and after Philadelphia as “hot”. This is inverted – the angel needs to be hot to accept this letter before Ephesus, and needs to be cold towards the letter itself (as overcome) if the letter is placed after Philadelphia. (Christ alludes to the cycle here.)

Those things that the angel considers to be wealth Jesus rejects and then disciplines the angel into gaining from God the true articles of righteousness that are required to justify him before God. Without the clothing of Christ’s righteousness we are naked before God, and without discipline we are bastards (wretched) and without discernment we are blind. The answer is to gain good works and trial leading to true patience; with good doctrine and to see the truth with some discernment – to examine it all.

The angel then must be zealous, for this circuit will require zeal. The angel must then begin this circuit in Ephesus to which this letter clearly applies first; as much as also afterwards in Philadelphia where this letter cannot apply! For how is he able to come to faith as Christ knocks if that has happened already to Christ’s complete approval?

The reward Christ states is to dwell with God – and able to judge, as given judgement (we shall judge men and angels).  It also refers to the title that opens the letter; “The Amen” as the unquestionable last word, Jesus as the only “faithful and true” witness, and justified as the judge of all creation. The angel then is also within the resurrection as the Lord’s own mouth, is witnessed to as worthy by Christ to judge and is thus rewarded.

The Father is enothroned as the additive identity of the operation of subgroup addition in the octal with the full eight elements. Christ is enthroned with the K4 group as the identity in the K4 form of the ultrafilter - as subgroup of the octal. Likewise the Holy Spirit is enthroned as the identity of the group C7: We can expect the angel to be able to sit as if he were the "zero" in each field, GF(2), GF(4) and GF(8). To sit with Christ on His throne as Christ is sat down with His Father on His throne.
