The Angel Of The Church

Now we see the victory of the angel of the church in the text. (Yes, I know there is no "church" here - especially one with a capitalised first letter, (just the remnant of God's people Israel.)) but here, actually in the text we see that the angel really is an end-times figure, not just the young man charged with the delivery of John's letter.)

Rev 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
Rev 10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. (KJV)

We can start to simply pull out the words of the text and paint the picture of whom this angel actually is. Firstly, he is clothed with a cloud (A mystery) namely the mystery of the seven churches and the seven angels. He has a rainbow upon His head - indicative of the bow comprised of seven churches - The "bow" generated by the Laodicean lampstand and (the first dimension of seven) and of the angel of the letters. His face was as it were the sun - He is shining as was Moses when exiting the tent of meeting. (He has met the Father and brings His words) and His feet are as pillars of fire: His portion of the Holy Spirit (as lamps of fire) are the support (pillars) of His steps, you could say. (His walk generates the mystery of the seven churches.)

The angel has a "little book" - which is to be interpreted that as in the judgement the books are opened and the deeds of the dead read, the angel is "The least in the kingdom of heaven". In completing the circuit those greater are all under obligation to obey the Lord's commandment to be separate. Also the "little book" compares directly to the angel's "little strength" in the letter to philadelphia, and his ministry is then very small but extremely powerful. (Perhaps an internet micro-ministry such as this one?) Up to this point, all the devils devices in the text as in the earth or upon the sea are overcome by the angel within his circuit in obedience to Christ.

In his hand the little book is open - The book of the revelation of Jesus Christ written by John as up to this point: i.e. at chapter 10. This book is open (interpreted fully up to this point) in his hand. (I.e. by reason of the angel - that which follows however is of the consequence of the angel and the argument of the two witnesses that Christ's victory on the cross was and still is complete.) His right foot is upon the sea, and his left upon the earth. That is, he stands upright across all the octals in the sea as well as upright in the "four beasts" about the throne. (He has overcome the world.) He is at "rest" in the sense that he has overcome through the blood of Christ. This shows he has succeeded in one of the 200,000,000 possible "escape routes" from each of the seven churches.

When he opens his mouth to cry, he does so with seven thunders; i.e. when the church circuit is "complete" and the seven cycle employed in his spiritual journey is made sure, then his work is finished with seven "churches/spirits/angels" reckoned (and thundered) as surely completed. It is shown in every way that the least of the flock (the angel - this angel) has through the spirit of God ensured a path out of the five refining churches into the Philadelphian church and then onward into the sabbath rest of Christ.

The angel's cry is for the mystery of God to be fulfilled - at this point his request is sealed up by John and the sealing has separated the full and open interpretation of the angel (up until this point) from the full fulfilment of the mystery as yet to come: When the temple is measured the outer court of the temple is left unmeasured. We can expect the result of the sealing of the seven thunders (in making the request) to give us a somewhat "abridged" version of the mystery from the revelation text.

John is told not to write those things the seven thunders utter - the exact sequence of the angel's overcoming, as in which seven cycle upon which lampstands and which octals etc. (Some things are best kept from the enemy). So, what is the seal?

The words of the rest of the revelation are "not sealed up". When a prophet receives testimony direct from God, if he preserves the message unchanged with respect to grammer and imagery etc; then he has not placed his own seal upon it - the vision of God is "open" and preserved. If the imagery of the text were or had been altered it would "take from the garment" and alter the underlying structures described. Then we see simply that the seven thunders are not revealed exactly in fine detail, but that John is told to summarise them in His own words without revealing the detail of His vision. We see then that the end of the Angel's reckoning is to declare this world unfit to continue; verses 5 to 7 contain John's summary.

The angel swears to God Almighty that having overcome, there is no more time for those in the churches to remain behind - as Jeremiah put it:

Jer 50:45 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them. (KJV)

By "habitations desolate" If the least in the kingdom has left the church and done so upon hearing the calling of Jesus Christ, why not his seniors? There is no grace left in disobeying the Holy Spirit in the mouth of Jesus Christ.

The angel further swears that no flesh (of any kind) shall be saved if this world continues - that when the seventh angel sounds out his trumpet then Jesus Christ should return and His Father dwell among us also. (For that is the end of the mystery of God as revealed in the prophecies of the NT and OT.)

The voice from heaven tells John to take the book and the angel bids him to eat. The book is sweet as honey to taste (It is recognition of all he has witnessed in the spirit thus far concerning the angel and His full interpretation, but with much, much more to come, so much more that it makes John ill when it is realised he must digest more fully the remainder.) John's belly is made bitter by the prophetic weight of the words in the scroll - (The whole revelation of Jesus Christ.) He is told that besides that which he has seen already (that he accepted so easily as honey to the taste), He must prophesy much more - the rest of the book of revelation in its entirety - And do so to the whole multitude in the world that will later read from it. (It is a charge to be diligent and record all this accurately. It will be very tiring. Also it is a danger to all in his day whom keep this prophecy.)

Moving along to chapter 11 before we start on the "two witnesses" note the first two verses. These show the end of the relevance of the parable of the ten virgins. (At least for now.)

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. (KJV)

John is given a reed like to a measuring rule, and is asked to measure the inside of the temple of God - namely surrounding the lamb, the four beasts, the 24 elders and the other "rest-states" of the 144 positions of the "floating unity" we have observed. The court without however (the six non-identity states of each octal in the sea.) are not measured - there is no minimum or maximum for the number of ungodly,.. just an open offer for entry to the elect, (the remainder will not have rest.)

The unbelievers, (spiritual "gentiles") trample the outer court for 42 months, except there is a little more to it than that; that it is not simply six elements of seven churches. (leaving the "rest-state" of the angel intact as the identity.) The angel shows this to John to indicate that here on in, it is not the case (as with the eighth C7 group, upon a fixed lampstand (Laodicea) to generate the seven churches) that the churches are in the picture. It is a separate deal to this scene of the throne. In actuality there are six non identity elements in one sun octal with seven possible choices of unity from seven "floating unities" per C7 group. Thus 42 months.

The number 1260 is important as it is equal in days to 42 months. But 42 months is important here because we are dealing with seven cycles upon a single octal. Were we considering hours we would be interested in automorphisms of all eight C7 groups over an octal, and were we considering 1260 days we would be using 30 octals per month etc. Though the times are written differently and seem the same, in fact they are indicative of deeper meaning in the underlying algebra.
